The contest was apparently inspired by an article that had been written in 1956 in the \u201cArmy\u201d magazine. Thank you Dave, Ron, and Garon for thinking of me.<\/p>\n<p>I perused the submission guidelines, brainstormed it with my writing group, and wrote the story. I\u2019m quite proud of it. It didn\u2019t win the contest but did place as a top 8 finalist. Part of that placement meant that it got\u00a0published in the\u00a0<a class=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/smallwarsjournal.com\/\">Small Wars Journal<\/a>.
